Computer users need to move their office work environment to their home or another office in order to be able to conduct work continuously anywhere anytime. In other words, customers wish to carry around their workspace and on demand open the same workspace to continue their work. This is called a Portable Workspace. Portable Z!Stream is the core engine that makes Portable Workspace possible.

Servicing Methods

An easy way for users to use the portable workspace is by having a Player window for managing the portable workspace on their own PC; all they have to do is simply to work on this player. Storing on a portable storage device, backing up on the local disk, and storing on the Internet server are all dealt by MyPWS. Storing information from the Player window is feasible both online and offline. Therefore, iPWS and dWPS exist for online, offline service respectively.

Service Operation Scenario and Model

A user creates a workspace on their PC through MyPWS player. The workspace is comprised of the majority of frequently used applications such as documents, media files, e-mail, messenger, office programs, graphic tools, etc. After having worked on the workspace created in the mentioned manner, desire to continue work at home after office hours can be achieved simply by pushing the Sync button on the MyPWS Player. The work that was being worked on will be wholly saved simultaneously on your MP3P, local HDD, and Internet server. Take out the MP3P from your PC, and then plug the MP3P into your PC at home. Voila! Your office workspace is completely recreated at home.

Term Definition

WS (Workspace): the workspace is sometimes called Desktop and was first defined by Xerox. The term was implemented to suggest that the objects on a computers monitor are the same as items on ones personal desk. Our business fully adopts the original meaning of the term.

iPortable Workspace: a general term that refers to our service in total.

MyPWS Player: a management program that has the function to collect and handle all objects from a workspace that are desired for carrying. Windows media player is a multimedia handling player, and iTunes from Apple is a music service player. In a similar context MyPWS Player is an application program handling player.

dPWS: an abbreviation for Personal Workspace on Device, refers to the state where a portable workspace is stored on a device.

hPWS: an abbreviation for Personal Workspace on the home Network Serve, refers to the state where a portable workspace is stored on his own home-network server.

oPWS: an abbreviation for Personal Workspace on the office Server, refers to the state where a portable workspace is stored on a server at his office.

iPWS: an abbreviation for Personal Workspace on the Internet, refers to the state where a portable workspace is stored on one’s account on the internet server.

Portable Z!Stream: the technological engine that makes porting application program, and plug and play possible. Virtually treats all environments of the operating system

required by the application program.

MyPWS Manager: As one of major two functions of MyPWS, the Manager provides a conventional service like Windows Explorer for directories, folders, files in a personal workspace.

MyPWS Store: Online shopping mall for purchasing additional application programs needed for your MyPWS from copyrighters or service providers.
